For The Love Of Port

Decant: 8 hours - Ex-cellars. Darkest of the wines on shaw at this tasting; deep and intense red with a centre that is almost opaque. Very closed on the nose, perhaps slightly soapy. A lovely silky texture on the palate, with plenty of dark cherry fruit. Still dryly tannic, full of bitter blackcurrant but with so many layers and flavours. Big aftertaste, dry blackcurrants and a very long length. A wine which promises much for the future. 90 points
