TN: 2001 Warre LBV Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 0 hours - Filtered. Served on BA 207 between Heathrow and Miami. Pop 'n' pour serving from a previously sealed bottle.

Gently fruity nose of blackcurrants, but not a lot there at 36,000 feet. Good structure, plenty of tannin in the mouth and with loads of fruit; slightly too acidic for great balance. Lovely long aftertaste full of fruit and dark chocolate. Not a bad filtered LBV, but not an outstanding port. 85 points
