Silky blueberries with some moderate tannins that gained a little bit of weight as I drank this over several days. The tannins weren't as prominent on the finish as they were on the palate. Overall this was a good upper-mid-tier VP that drinks well now and should be at it's best over the next 10 years. While I don't see this making a long lived VP, it does make a good mid-term drinker while the 2000 and 2003 VP's mature. I'm glad I have more of these as they are more interesting than most LBV's for mid-term drinking.

Thanks for taking one for the team.

I gave one away as a gift, but the woman still had it sitting on her desk (yesterday) and I gave it to her at the end of September. I mentioned, "I am surprised you've not already consumed that bottle." She replied, "I am saving it for a special occasion during the upcoming holidays."
