1952 Dalva Golden White Colheita
bottle had been open ~2 weeks

Color: Light tan tawny. Not really "golden" but still very pretty.
Nose: Dry and dusty, them some soft honey and praline.
Palate: Nicely tart, then very smooth. Parafin, honey, meyer lemon. Drinks very easily.
Finish: Long and smooth. Very pleasant.

Score: 94 points. Others felt the bottle had been open too long, but for me it was possibly the best showing I've ever had of the '52 Golden White. I thought it was outstanding and might have scored it higher if it hadn't been overshadowed by the 1934 Dalva Colheita cask sample that it followed.
