Decanted for about an hour then decanted back into the bottle. This is a filtered LBV.
Straight after decanting it was somwhat restrained on the nose with hints of blueberry. alcohol was present but not overwhelming.
Intitial tasting showed some immediate fruit that gave way to some spice, with soft tannins kicking in at the end.
D+ 6 - Soft and fruity up front. A little hotness kicks in after the intial fruit, then the tannins arrive. Well balanced and while it lacks a huge amount of length, it is still rather nice.
D + 1 day - Not a lot of change to the flavour profile
Overall I found this rather moreish, all be it a little straight forward. It may be the unseasonal cold weather but the bottle is all but empty :winepour:
