Tasted at Porto Quevedo in S. João da Pesqueira on 06-OCT-2010 as part of the 2010 Port Harvest Tour.
Blind tasting of 2004 LBV, 2005 LBV, and 2008 VP.
2004 Quevedo LBV
Color: Dark garnet, but only barely opaque. (approx 1/2" fade at the rim) Good legs.
Nose: Tart blackberry, faint blueberry
Palate: Medium tart red fruits. Great acidity, good smooth tannins.
Score: 91 points. My guess (after tasting all 3) was that this was the oldest of the 3 and probably an LBV. I wasn't that familiar with Quevedo's lineup, so guessed their 2003 LBV because I knew for sure that they'd bottled that one.
