1900 Constantino Colheita Port

Tasted at Quinta do Crasto with Miguel Roquette on 08-OCT-2010 as part of the 2010 Port Harvest Tour.
This bottle was purchased collectively by the 2010 Port Harvest Tour to share with Miguel Roquette. This particular Colheita was made by his grandfather.
1900 Constantino Colheita
Color: Medium brown with orange highlights. Slightly cloudy.
Nose: Caramel, tasted almond, and soft blood orange. Possibly some resin?
Palate: Vanilla, brown sugar, toffee, almond liqueur. Also some apples and cinnamon, but faint. Very faintly gritty texture that seems to go with the brown sugar flavor.
Finish: Starts dry but then quickly gets very rich. Apples and cinnamon much stronger. Very long and delicious. Lingers forever.
Score: 97 points. Absolutely magnificent. Too bad the pours were (necessarily) so small in order to get 18 servings from the bottle.
