A Douro red wine from the Quevedo family and one I've never had before. A rich nose that almost reminded me of a modern California Pinot Noir. The palate though resembled a more traditional Burgundy with ripe cherries and plenty of spices. This went through several changes while I sipped it, from old world charm to new world fruit. A finish packed with tannins and spices lingered for a long time and provided a solid finish. The back label mentions this wine is different and I'd agree, not your typical Douro wine that's for sure. This was my only bottle and I'll have to pick up a few more of these next time I visit the Quinta.

Andy Velebil Good wine is a good familiar creature if it be well used. William Shakespeare http://www.fortheloveofport.com
