1987 Kopke Vintage Port
served blind

Color: Medium red with purple tint. Slightly cloudy. Almost looks faded.
Nose: Soft black berries. Nice. Round. Possibly some tomato?
Palate: Sweet, round, and full. Mostly primary and black. Some mint?
Finish: Good but not great length. Fades nicely.

Score: 94 points. Best Port of the night to this point, but was beaten by a narrow margin later in this flight. This was one of two ringers in the 1985 flight but I didn't catch it. A great showing for Kopke and I never would have guessed it would show so well - I actually had it scored the same as the 1985 Fonseca. That's some good company!

Glenn, et al.
Do you feel like the '87 Kopke was on an upslope or a plateau?

I don't think it has reached a plateau yet, but it's not on an upslope like the 1985 Fonseca. My guess is that it will plateau relatively soon - in maybe 10 years?
