My wife participates in the ACPT every year, and conveniently there is a lively Port tasting group in New York City. So every year we plan a Port tasting to coincide with the tournament, and this was the 2011 edition.

2000 Dow Vintage Port
this was near the end of a large vertical, so my notes were getting very sparse

Color: Very dark red, almost opaque without really being purple.
Nose: Significant alcohol, dust.
Palate: Very nice. Good fruits. Lots of tannins.
Finish: no note taken
