375 ml, 19% ABV, $ 12 @ Wine Club, San Jose, CA, bottled 2009. unfiltered, full cork closure.
On opening intense blackberry, black currant with some licorice aromas; sweet, syrupy, clean blackberry flavors, very balanced to light spirit presence with slight tannins in the long finish.
D+1-more closed now, nose of clean, light blackberry; good black currant flavors showing more body and structure now with some tannins to resolve
D+2-opening blackberry, licorice, mocha nose; slightly heavier bodied with great balance, structure, and tart finish
D+16-concentrated blackberry aromas: soft, balanced black currant flavors with good body and structure
D=24-thinner blackberry nose with a slight metallic note; balanced blackberry/currant, cassis, licorice flavors; good acid balance, seems a little light
Very pleasurable with some elegance, I believe this one will improve for a couple of years and hold for a few more after that, a solid 90 pointer, I rushed back and bought four more bottles. Suggest drinking as a "pop and pour" in the future.

As an addendum to a previous thread on lower alcohol ports -- this port seemed to need a little more spirit as there was no burn or hotness evident and I found that, though this was very balanced and elegant, I missed the stronger spirit presence, just a little more please.
