A poll on wine critics from another US wine forum

Post by Roy Hersh »

On another US wine forum, a poll was taken on wine critics
The statement read: The wine world would be a better place without professional critics ...
* True
* False

So far the vote with nearly 150 respondents is: 79% "FALSE"

I was a bit surprised given the fact that this particular BB is pretty much anti-Wine Advocate (Parker and associates) and so I thought that might carry over to "TRUE" votes.

There was a note added: "The inclusion of the word "professional" -- and that word is not meant to connote "experienced, reliable palate," but rather "someone who gets paid to be a wine critic."

Your thoughts?
