This appeared in my local paper today and touches on some of the issues that have been brought up in the forums albeit, mostly in the context of riesling.

It makes for some interesting reading on the pros and cons of screw caps.

I don't mind screw caps and the only ones I own today are domestic Pinot Noir bottlings. I'd still rather deal with cork though. Good article!

Very well written article. I like how it presents the cons of using both cork and screw caps in a simple straight forward way. No closure is perfect yet I prefer to take my chances with Cork for longer term aging and stick with screw caps for the "drink young" wines. Now if I could just get those basic Ports in screw cap
<<<me running for my life as I'm being chased by a horde of Port producers LOL
