2005 Andresen LBV Port

Decant: 4 hours - Bottled unfiltered in 2010. Deep red in colour and completely opaque. Lovely open and attractive nose, full of youthful fruit that is just starting to soften with early maturity. Soft and silky impact; full of tannins that grab the tongue. Lots of fruit on the palate. Dry aftertaste, a bit hollow, but this opens to a deep, dry and intense - but very short - finish. Tasty and enjoyable now and a wine which will be better in 2-5 years; but not a great wine. 83 points
