1985 Churchill Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 24 hours - The first bottle from a case taken out of storage with BBR. Deep red incolour, showing early maturity on the rim. Lots of cherries and bramble fruit on the nose, perhaps with a hint of VA. Mild acid on the tongue, generous fruit with lots of black brambles; generous flavours, very mild tannins. Juicy palate. Lovely fruit-dominated aftertaste and a long, full finish. Very drinkable port, drinking very nicely now and not looking at though it will fade any time soon. 89 points
