1970 Croft Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 13 hours double decanted - Deep orange colour, 80% opaque. Mild on the nose, slightly spicy and with good levels of dried fruit; highly perfumed. Sweet fruit dominates the medium bodied entry. Dry on the palate, tannins are dry but gentle. Very spicy, structured and sweet. Hot burn on the afteraste, followed by a long finish that is sweet and sticky. (Vintages guessed to be 70, 70, 70, 66; shipper guessed to be Taylor, Graham, Croft and Warre.) 86 points
