Decant: 5 hours - A bottle sourced from Coe Vintners; one of the two good bottles from a batch of 6 poor bottles. Shared with Peter and Ian Symington at Bomfim. Pale brown in colour, green tinge on the rim; 20% opaque. Sweet brown sugar and a sharp rosemary or antiseptic on the nose. The entry was dominated by the sharp acidity that overpowered the sweet sultanas and concentrated orange zest. Light bodied, sweet and very evolved. Delicate aftertaste and a bitter orange finish of extraordinary length. A fragile wine, probably declining but whose rarity forgives some flaws. 87 points
