Decant: 3 hours - A cask sample bottled 3 days after the fermentation had been stopped through the addition of aguardente. The half bottle took 4 filter papers for decanting due to the huge amout of fine sediment in the wine.

Vivid purple in colour. Big and tannic with bags of fruit, lively and spicy. Very aggressive and drying with lots of layers of flavour to enjoy. A good aftertaste once the tannins have faded away and a lovely aniseed finish. Not rated due to the age of the wine, but really enjoyable to drink now! NR points
