1943 Sandeman Vintage Port

Decant: 1½ hours - Deep brown in colour, 20% opaque. Light nose, some floral flavours, sweet smelling. Lovely texture on the palate, medium-bodied and with intense orange citrus flavours on the mid-palate. Delightful aftertste, and an intense citrus peel finish of increndible size and intensity - and of long duration. A very good wine. After 4½ hours in the glass this had started to decay and was showing a little rosemary on the nose. 89 points
