1979 Taylor LBV Port
Decant: 2 hours - Filtered, bottled in 1985. 30% opaque. Vague plastic on the nose, but mostly an absence of smell. Sweet in the mouth, quite hollow, but some juniper bitterness. Aeration allows fuller flavours to develop - oranges and coffee. Sweet and sticky aftertaste, followed by a mild chocolate and very long length (which was noticed in all 4 mature Taylor LBVs on the night). Quite pleasant. 79 points
