NV Taylor 20 Year Old Tawny Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 3 days - Bottled in 1978. Stoppered with a driven cork branded "Taylor's Porto".

Brown in colour, with a green rim; 50% opaque. Burnt toffee on the nose, with a touch of rubber. Sweet entry, with a bitterness to it; lacking acidity to be perfectly balanced. Flavoursome, full of sweet apricots and burnt sugar. Hot aftertaste, which gives way to a very long finish of toffee and lime juice. An acceptable drink, but difficult to drink more than a glass. NR points
