Decant: Pop 'n' pour - Cask sample, field blend, unrefreshed (in contrast to the later wines). Deep red in colour, 50% opaque. Soft on the nose showing colheita tones and characteristic VA. Smooth entry, with surprising amounts of primary fruit and pronounced tannins. A big wine, with big concentration. Huge aftertaste and a long lasting finish. NR points
