First time for Bottle Stink in a Port-A common thing for 1960's Bordeaux.

Unless a old guy most of you may not know BS(bottle stink). It is hard to tell BS from

Corked at first. BS blow off over time corked doesn't.

Opened a Fonseca 77 was off so opened a Warres 77(was very nice).

After 2 days tried the F 77 it was great.

Also only had one corked vintage port in forty years of drinking them(last year).

Hi John,

Would you like to buy a pristine stash of perfectly stored 1983 Cockburn's purchased in OWC's? [cheers.gif]

Roy:

Only had that wine twice-I didn't think it was corked(nothing like any corked wine I've

had) But the worst two ports ever. I still find a discription hard to relate -totally undrinkable.

John,

Do you find you have a low or high threshold for the presence of TCA?
