1968 Warre's Colheita Port

Post by Andy Velebil »

Found at a restaurant and bought the new bottle for a crazy price of $40 for the bottle. Just an impression....Bottled in 1998. Plenty of sweet brown sugar, maple, and cinnamon nose with an addition of nutmeg and spices on the palate. The palate is getting a bit tired and seems to have lost some of the acidity I remember from prior bottles. Otherwise it's still hanging on but if you still own any of these older bottlings it time to drink 'em up.

$40? At a restaurant no less? Why does this stuff never happen to me? [shrug.gif]
