1997 Krohn Colheita (bottled in 2011). This has the new style label. I miss the old stenciled label and wish thay hadn't changed it... but life moves on.
This is clearly more tawny than the bottling from 2007. It's certainly tawny now rather than semi-ruby. Caramel nose. This is initially quite rich. Bright cherry fruit with a finish of orange peel and caramel. Not really complex. Actually a bit sweet with obvious alcohol. Chilling a bit brings a bit more balance. A very nice drink for $19.99.. 88 points
