My brother was here this weekend and told me how serious the fires really are. When he told me the area involved, I couldn't help but think of our friend Eric Menchen and his wife and dogs. I hope you guys are all ok and your home is far enough away although I know how badly Ft. Collins is being burned. Please give us an update and let us know you are ok! :salute:

Fires in many directions now, but we are safe. Marijke had to evacuate out of her office yesterday, which is closed today, and we have a good number of friends on pre-evac notice for the Flagstaff fire. The folks down in Colorado Springs seem to have it the worst at the moment. The closest fire to us was staying behind the ridge this morning, but winds are picking up this afternoon, which is good for no one. Hopefully some rain will come to. Our thanks to all doing their best to fight the fires.

Thanks for the update and I hope the rains come or the winds die down, if not both! Glad you are both safe and your home as well. Keep us posted.

Preferably both! Glad to hear you and Marijke are okay, and I hope it stays that way.

Eric,

How about an update from you. I am VERY aware of what is going on in CO Springs, so just FT. Collins would be appreciated. :salute:

Well, most of the Colorado fires have quieted down and are under control. Yesterday, however, most of the Denver area was smokey due to the winds blowing down from Wyoming and fires there. I'll see if I can come up with a better summary.
