Pop-n-pour - some depot in the filter and the cork had a crust built up on it.

On the eye: the wine has full ruby red color, with an slight transparent brown discoloration towards the edges.

On the nose: Expressive. Very primary but also a lot of secondary aroma's hidden between the ripe, dark fruit. I smell chocolate, spices, caramel, liquorice and coffee.

On the palate: Just as good! Good acidity level and the wine still has strong tannins. The spices fill the mouth together with a great acidity level and sweetness, all quite well balanced. The finish is smooth and silky, leaving a great lingering aftertaste that remains for a pretty long time. Still very fruity.

Overall conclusion: Good complexity and depth. Expressive on the nose and palate. All well balanced. Great wine!

Score: 18/20.
