Soft ripe strawberries and licorice early on then a little tobacco comes and goes in the background. A silky finish, with some spices, is an extenstion of the palate. Loved the elegance this VP. Drinks well now but still has not peaked.
92 Points.

Wow... not at peak!? I have had quite a bit of this over the years and Some bottles are past peak and others are fantastic and I think at peak. I'll need to find my remaining case and break into it :winebath:

As with many 77's there is some bottle variation I've experienced. But sound bottles of this are still rocking.

I've opened many of these and while they aren't fruity or tannic powerhouses, I don't think any were past peak. It is a Port of subtle elegance.
