Niepoort LBV 1992

This bottle was opened last friday with Moses and Luc, so 40 hours later.
Color is red garnet with tawny edge, the nose is quite open and complex, mostly flavours of licorice, spices, candied figs and lavender. Sweet and smooth entry on the palate, medium bodied, then it builds up with candied cherries/figs, lots of licorice, still some finely grain tannins, lingering finish, with some heat, dominated with pure black licorice flavours. 17/20 A very fine LBV
