2000 Croft Vintage Port

Decant: Not Known - Deep red, solid magenta with an opaque centre. Rather closed on the nose, slight fresh and sour blackcurrant. Sour impact, hugely acidic - too burning levels! Soft tannins, plenty of fruit but still way out of balance. Hot finish, burning acidity that finally settles to allow a long finish through. This is well into its closed phase - where will it go? Not fair to rate it on this showing. NR
