2004 Croft LBV Port
Decant: 2 hours - Half bottle; bottled in 2009. Dark red, opaque. Violets and blackcurrants show on the gentle nose. Soft palate, gentle spice, vibrant acidity and dusty tannins - but overall dominated by the fruit. Long, sweet bramble finish. Improving with the extra time in the bottle - and a step up from the ruby reserves we were tasting recently. 87 points
