1963 Ferreira Vintage Port

Decant: 3 hours - Deep red, pink rim, 90% opaque. Spicy and fragrant nose; very lively, quite dry and perfumed. Elegant and gentle entry, quite a thick texture. Flavour on the mid palate described as cherry liquor by AB - quite correctly. Lighter bodied than the '66 Ferreira drunk at lunch, fairly straightforward. Terrifically long aftertaste, sweet and concrntrated with fruit and muscvado sugar. 88 points
