1977 Graham Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 23 hours - Mature red colour, but light - only 20% opaque. Fairly empty on the nose. Sweet fruit on entry, with the fruit becoming more lively and revealing gentle tannin and strong acidity. Delicious palate, tending towards elegance rather than power. Sweet and elegant initially, but then a big burst of heat before an enjoyable finish. Somewhat unbalanced - if port does go through cycles of opening up and shutting down, perhaps the G77 is about to go into a closed period. 87 points
