1977 Niepoort Vintage Port

Decant: 4½ hours - Very deep orange colour, 70% opaque. Burnt toffee on the nose. Sweet and generous texture on entry bringing rich, sweet burnt toffee to the palate; lovely balance between fruit and acidity. Sweet and flavoursome aftertaste and a finish of good length. Tasty port with a really nice palate but perhaps just a touch too sweet. 88 points
