1966 Taylor Vintage Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 10 hours - Grants of St James. Deep red, firm core; 45% opaque. Very faint on the nose, with a slight touch of spearmint. Modest entry, initially hollow but then shows dry fruit and smokey tonnins. Develops nicely on the palate and grows well to deliver a lovely flavour. Huge burst of lavender and violets on the aftertaste, then a lovely long finish of leather and clover honey. Fabulous port on the late palate and finish, but lacking on the nose. Enjoyably dry. 92 points
