1970 Taylor Vintage Port

Decant: 14½ hours - Deep red, richly coloured and 99% opaque. Full aroma, youthful and spicy - really attractive. Rich and full-bodied on the palate; still gently tannic but massively fruity. A touch hot on the aftertaste, but lovely flavours through the wonderful finish of blackcurrant and cocoa nibs. This is a big port that needs another 20 years to hit its plateau. Terrific bottle. 92 points
