Decant: 1 hour - A touch more magenta on the rim than the Ribeira. Quite closed nose, some eucalyptus, some redcurrant. Lovely soft texture, restrained fruit; soft and velvety with lovely blueberry. Tannins are firm behind the fruit, but the acidity is modest and balanced. The tannins dominate on the aftertaste and finish, before the long finish turns to blackcurrant and bramble. Very fine first impression. 90 points
