1966 Warre Vintage Port

Decant: 8 hours - Mid red, dark rose rim; 40% opaque. Hollow on the nose compared to the previous two Warre vintages at this tasting; a swirl releases attractive nutmeg and vanilla cream. Fruit flavours build gradually to a delicious strawberry jam on the palate but with a slight dryness to it; comes with a nice structure. Lovely tobacco tones and sweet, ripe fruit. Big tobacco hints on the finish; good length with concentrated sweet strawberry. 89 points
