1984 Warre LBV Port

Post by Al B. »

Decant: 1½ hours - Bottled 1988, traditional LBV. Mature looking, bricking, pale rim, 50% opaque. Slight reductive tones on the nose, a bit of dust and spirit but otherwise very flat. Sweet on the palate, a bit hollow initially but the fruit does develop a little. Modest and medium bodied. Pleasant, gentle aftertaste of sour bitter orange peel. Very modest and giving the impression that it has passed its prime. 83 points
