1983 Quinta do Noval Quinta do Silval Vintage Port

Bottle #0819. Tasted blind in a lineup of 1983 Vintage Ports. Deep orange amber color, like some blood oranges. Older musty aroma of closet and Spanish moss, with leaf and low levels of spice like cinnamon or cardamom. Later there were sweet floral aromas. In the mouth, thicker and almost syrupy sweet on top of an alcohol burn that carried through the finish. Later this settled down and was less syrupy, less hot; fairly oxidized with an apricot tang. 87 points. I wonder if this would improve with more decant time.
