Another bottle of Eufemia's 1973 White Colheita that cannot be labeled as such because it wasn't declared in time. It does say "over 30 years old" on the back label, though. No bottling date indicated. Purchased from The Wine Library for $60, at which price it's quite a bargain. Interestingly, while the brand for this Port is Casa de Santa Eufemia it was bottled by Quinta de Santa Eufemia which is the other half of the split house. I hadn't noticed that on other bottles that I've opened.

Casa de Santa Eufemia Special Reserve White Port

Color: Medium dark gold, almost the color of honey. Very faintly green at the rim.
Nose: Some alcohol, but mostly meyer lemon, and a couple of other indistinct tropical fruits. Possibly mango? Also some very faint honey.
Palate: Fairly full mouth feel, with excellent acidity. Not quite bracing, but getting there. Toasted honey, if that makes any sense. Some faint tropical fruits like pineapple and mango. Also a bit of that meyer lemon.
Finish: Some warmth and some lingering acidity. Faintly sweet lemon and honey. Good length.

Score: 95 points. This bottle showed even better than the last, which leads me to believe that both of the bottles from the Chelsea Wine Market were heat damaged (though one more so than the other). This one was what I expected - a superb example of what a white Port can be.
