A very old wood port with amber colour like a tawny, a bit turbid, and a lemon and apricot pudding nose, a bit warm. Sweet entry, and good balancing acidity. Decent showing.

Put of curiosity, when was this bottled?

Good question, Brad, and I didn't grab the bottle to look carefully at the end of a long dinner, sorry. I recall something about it being bottled long after vintage year - maybe even 1970s. If I can find out I'll post it here.

Bill,
What did the bottle look like? Was it a modern normal looking bottle or was it in a slightly dumpy bottle with big indents in the glass around it?
