Decanted 3 hours and poured back into the bottle to take to a friend's. Light amber color, flavors not deep. Not overly spirity. Unimpressive. Will decant it longer next time.

Light amber color? That has to be a (seriously) flawed bottle. A 1994 VP should not be amber in color, even if 2nd (or 3rd) tier.
