1994 Dow Vintage Port

Post by Miguel Simoes »

Truly enjoyed it. Was at its best aprox 12 hours after decanting. Live red color, alcohol integrated beautifully.

This is one of my favorites too, but really trying to leave these alone for another decade or more. Should be fantastic as it approaches its 30th birthday by that point. It was a monster when young, now it is great to drink but needs a lot of decant time as you found out. I had one at The Vintage House in Pinhao a few years ago where it was tonged and poured for us. On that particular night, it was brilliant even though it virtually had no time in decanter. Just goes to show. [dash1.gif]
