Had a few bottles of this one a few years ago, last time tasted during the 2012 FTLOP Harvest Tour when visiting Vale Meao. Tried a new bottle recently and the quality is very consistant.
Decanted 10 hrs. Deep dark purple-red colour with a light rim. Extreme aroma of berries in nice combination with minerals and terroir. Still a bit “raw” in the aroma, but I am sure this will be much less in the years to come. Full body. Powerful, elegant, velvet in the style as first impression, but towards the end the tannins are hitting full scale, still in a nice way. Long aftertaste of berries. A delicious young vintage port, that will probably be even better in 10-15 years. 94 pts.
