Decanted 6 hours. The color is still a impenetrable dark ruby. Plenty of esteva, plums, and tar on the nose. A soft entry quickly became a boat load of plums, tar, menthol, and a wallop of tannins. Then out of nowhere the huge acidity smacks your palate. The finish is nothing more than a seamless continuum of the palate and lingers for quite a long time. My impression of this is it has a good life ahead of it as it still shows so youthful at 21 years of age. I'll be putting my other bottles back into long term storage, that's for sure. This has seemingly made a very good turn around from the last time I had it many years ago.
