Decanted 6 hours. I've had a number of these over the years. Starting to show more evolved now with age starting to overtake youthfulness. Silky smooth with resolved tannins. Tar, menthol, and rhubarb are the dominating flavors. The moderately long finish also has some saddle leather and a hint of cinnamon and a slight metallic component. This has been the most advanced bottle and it now appears age is starting to throw this out of whack due to a slight lack of complexity. I'd recommend drinking these up over the next couple years for best enjoyment. That said, this has held up darn well over the years and been a wonderful "cellar defender." Sadly I only have one bottle left.

Good to see a recent tasting note on this. The last one I had was in 2009 and it was pretty good then. According to the note I had on that bottle, it showed best after 3 days in the decanter. It looks like I will have to open my last one, soon.
