Decanted about 5 hours, I took this to share at dinner with my regular wine group last night at a fantastic college restaurant program near me. While there is a big focus on wine, we are all collectors, it's more about socializing and teaching the students about the wines we brought. As certain student(s) are specifically paired as our server by the Professors of the program and they get to sample the wines we bring to further their wine education. Real fun for all and a great way for us to give back to those just starting to learn about wine.

Anyways, on to the note. No formal note taken for reasons listed above, just some impressions. Soft and rounded tannins complimented the juicy berries, with nice acidity keeping it fresh. Very consistent from the first sip to the moderately long finish. This is in a very nice spot at the moment and still has room for improvement with a little bit more age.

We tasted this on Friday as well. Our decant was 24 hours. Lush violets and purple fruits on nose. A bit tannic, floral notes with black cherries toward Chambord. Piquant finish. Quite enjoyable and a steal for $23/bottle at WTSO.

I'm right there with you guys. I gave my last bottle 89 points on the night I opened it, but bumped it to 90 points the next night after it fleshed out and gained some needed weight. An excellent value from WTSO for $23/bottle!
