1995 Cockburn Quinta Dos Canais Vintage Port

9 Hour Decant
Color is surprisingly mature, but still quite opaque. Not inappropriately mature, but much less vibrant than the Fonseca and Taylor '95s I've had a few times. The nose is full and sweet, with plenty of blackberry and raspberry pie, cinnamon and baking spice. Not much heat on the nose or the palate, but solid structure makes the palate well balanced with the sweet fruit. The structure leads me to believe this still has much life ahead, but this is drinking so well right now, I wouldn't know why you would want to wait.
