Nice! And at 1/4 the price of a NN31 I'd say they're pretty reasonable, too.

I too would have expected the minimum bid to be quite a bit higher. Over the course of the auction I'd expect that it will be bid up quite significantly from its relatively low starting price.Glenn E. wrote:Nice! And at 1/4 the price of a NN31 I'd say they're pretty reasonable, too.

This is a heck of a nice Port and if in great condition, the price is almost a moot point.

I wouldn't call that description great condition, but what is for a 1931?

$9,188, with the buyer's premium of 22.5%; thus $7,500 before the premium, the top of their estimate range.

Ouch! £2,000 per bottle. That's giving up a lot of other very good port to have those.Eric Menchen wrote:$9,188, with the buyer's premium of 22.5%; thus $7,500 before the premium, the top of their estimate range.

Agreed. I would want a discount for that, but it didn't slow somebody down.Andy Velebil wrote:The seepage part is the big turn off

I'd be willing to do the taste testing.
